Macs do Windows, too.
In a rather unexpected move from Apple Computers (well, unexpected from me - even Think Secret didn't mention it prior to the launch), they have just released a public beta of a software called Boot Camp that allows owners of the new Intel Macs to dual boot either Mac OS X or Windows XP.
Implications:
1. Goodbye Virtual PC for Intel Macs
2. Games!
3. Maybe it'll be possible to do slightly more accurate benchmark tests in the sense of Win XP on a PC vs. Win XP on a Mac.

Now what would be interesting is Mac OS X for PCs. However, I don't think that this will happen, considering that PCs are much cheaper than Macs. Furthermore, it opens up the whole problem of compatibility - the very thing that is causing Vista's delay according to this article:
"'Windows is now so big and onerous because of the size of its code base, the size of its ecosystem and its insistence on compatibility with the legacy hardware and software, that it just slows everything down,' observed David B. Yoffie, a professor at the Harvard Business School. 'That's why a company like Apple has such an easier time of innovation.'"

1) why would you want to compare windows on pc vs windows on mac? i would argue that given the same tech specs, there's not much point in comparing hardware. it's how well the operating system runs that's important. ergo,
2) given that mac is obviously the superior operating system, there will be lots more interest in trying to get mac os to work on a pc than windows on a mac. windows on a mac gives you convenience for mac users who are too stubborn to go back to pcs (assuming they've not been loyal apple users all their tech lives)
mac on a pc, however, means that you can buy a cheap dell and run a damn good os on it and be unstoppable.
of course you'll be working on an ugly dell and not a pretty g5 tower, but to true tech geeks this does not matter, only that they can work as well with less (hardware) cost.
